After the wind this week we could use a break from anymore bad weather, but this weekend is going to be cold so if you wanna get away from the cold here are some suggestions. A note that some of these events may change due to power outages in some areas so check with the links below to make sure they are still on.

First you can celebrate St. Patrick's Day early in Grand Ledge as they are celebrating it all weekend long with an Irish cook-off, live music, Irish dance performances, a grand parade and pub crawl. More details here.

In addition, the 34th annual Michigan Horse Expo which promises any and everything a horse owner or lover could ever want.  The Michigan Horse Expo runs all weekend long at Farm Lane in East Lansing.

Next you can come and join the MDA and Boy Scouts for their Pancake Breakfast. It starts at 8am - 11am  and is at 5000 Okemos Rd Okemos. Its all you can eat Pancakes and sausage are cooked by the Meridian Township Firefighters. More details

Your kids can get a free flight from the Young Eagles in Jackson. To get more details on this and to sign up your child for it, as it is on a first come first served basis, go here. 

Next this is for everyone of all ages in the Abrams Planetarium, as One World One Sky is continuing through April, more on that here. Also Ice World continues at Abrams until April and both of these events are weekly on Sundays.
