
Massive Cold Medicine Recall Impacts Michigan Homes
Is anyone else getting taken out by horrible colds frequently this year? I swear I have gone through so much Nyquil and Dayquil this year that it isn't even funny. Once I got over one virus, it seemed the next was just waiting for me.
If you are experiencing the same thing, you may actually want to check your medicine cabinets. There is a massive recall right now from Church & Dwight Company INC over cold medicine sold here in the state of Michigan, as well as nationwide.

The following products are currently on the recall list.
Zicam Cold Remedy Nasal Swabs (UPC 732216301205)
Zicam Nasal AllClear Swabs (UPC 732216301656)
Orajel Baby Teething Swabs (UPC 310310400002)
Why Were These Medicines Recalled?
The products are currently being recalled after testing revealed microbial contamination on cotton swabs used in testing these products. More specifically, a fungal virus was found inside the contaminated products.
The contamination could prove serious, even life-threatening if the infection gets into the bloodstream, especially in children, immunocompromised individuals, and people who have inflamed or injured nasal passages.
What Should You Do If You Own These Products?
As of right now, there are no serious adverse reactions being reported because of the recalled products; however, with the risk of a blood infection, it is best to avoid using the product at all.
How to Get a Refund
If you do have any of the affected products, you are urged to stop using them immediately and discard them. You can obtain a full refund through Church & Dwight's website or by calling them at 1-800-981-4710. strongly advised.
