Check Out the Star Party This Weekend!

If you have some time this weekend and you want to nerd out at the stars while being on a beach then this Star Party is for you.  The Star Party is happening up north on Saturday at the Sleeping Bear Dunes.

According to MLive.com, park rangers and the Grand Traverse Astronomical Society will host a "star party". The event will take place at the Dune Climb. After 4PM, party-goers will be viewing the sun and after 9PM, the telescopes will focus on deep space. Keep an eye on the weather, cause if it is cloudy they will cancel. If weather does get in the way this weekend they'll offer more of these parties, every month through October.
