We are about three months from the Labor Day tradition of the Mackinac Bridge Walk but know that there are some changes coming to this year's walk.

According to a release from MDOT, they have said there are going to be a few big changes to the walk this year. First, The bridge will be closed to public traffic during the walk, from 6:30 am to 12 pm. Next, this may be helpful for a lot people looking for a change as you can start from either side of the bridge. Next, there will be no waiting for a bus to take you to the starting point, as you can start from either side. Finally this is a pretty big change, as anyone who walks the entire length of the bridge needs to arrange their own transportation to get back to the other side.

Plus they also have a handy video to help you with the changes as well.
