Cardi B had a successful night at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards on Monday (Aug. 20), and she celebrated by previewing new music during Atlantic Records' afterparty at the Tao Downtown nightclub in New York.

Footage of the moment shows Cardi, surrounded by a crowd that includes her husband Offset, rapping along to an unreleased track featuring some bars that could be interpreted as disses aimed at Nicki Minaj.

"I'm the queen of talkin' shit and I'm backin' it up (back, back, backin' it up)/Throw that money over here nigga, that's what the fuck," she spits, continuing, "See I was gettin' some head (get, gettin' some head)/Went down on your bitch, she almost pissed on her leg/Bitches think they fuckin' with me must be sick in the head."

Despite some fans' belief that Nicki's song "Ganja Burn" includes a line targeting Cardi, the "Chun-Li" rapper has denied the existence of a beef. Still, Cardi's use of the word "queen," the title of Minaj's new album, will be sure to spark speculation about bad blood.

Cardi has appeared on three new songs—Rita Ora's "Girls," Jennifer Lopez's "Dinero" and Lil Yachty's "Who Want Smoke"—since the April release of her debut album Invasion of Privacy, but this is our first look at what appears to be a new solo track. She said in July on Instagram Live that she plans to release a new project "in the fall."

Before hitting the club, Bardi took home MTV's award for Best New Artist. She also opened the show with a brief monologue while holding a Moon Person trophy swaddled like a baby in her arms.
