Camila Cabello Brings ‘Havana’ to Grammys Stage in Colorful Latin-Pop Performance
Camila Cabello opened the 2019 Grammy Awards with a colorful performance of her hit song, "Havana."
The pop star took the stage wearing a bright yellow dress, as she belted out the popular 2018 hit. Cabello, who was nominated for two awards at the show, was joined by J Balvin, Ricky Martin, Arturo Sandoval and Young Thug for the over-the-top performance, which brought Cuba to the Grammys stage. A portion of the song was performed in Spanish.
The former Fifth Harmony member was up for Best Pop Vocal album and Best Pop Solo performance. She was up against Kelly Clarkson, Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, P!nk and Taylor Swift in the former category and Beck, Grande, Lady Gaga and Post Malone in the latter. She was beat by Grande and Gaga respectively.
Cabello is one of many acts set to perform during the 2019 Grammys. Others due to grace the stage include Chloe x Halle; Yolanda Adams, Fantasia and Andra Day; Lady Gaga and Mark Ronson; Dua Lipa and St. Vincent; Post Malone and Red Hot Chili Peppers; Travis Scott; Cardi B; Shawn Mendes and Miley Cyrus and more.
The 2019 Grammy Awards kick off Sunday at 8:00 p.m. ET on CBS and Grammy.com.
