BTS and Halsey’s ‘Boy With Luv’ Video Just Made YouTube History
It's official: BTS and Hasley's Boy With Luv" video broke the record for most viewed 24 hour debut in YouTube history. The clip dropped on Friday (April 12), the same day the South Korean group released its new album Map of the Soul: Persona, and it was able to amass a whopping 74.6 million views in its first day live. If that's not impressive enough on its own, the video was also the fastest to garner 100 million views, reaching the number in less than two days.
Fellow K-Pop stars BLACKPINK held the title for a little over a week, with their “Kill This Love” video racking up 56.7 million views in its first 24 hours. Ariana Grande previous held the record when her "Thank U, Next" video got 55.4 million views in the same amount of time.

This wasn't the only historic moment for BTS since releasing their latest album. On Saturday (April 13), they became the first Korean act to perform on Saturday Night Live. Though they played "Boy With Luv" during that set, they're gearing up to perform it for the first time live with Halsey at the Billboard Music Awards on May 1.
