Just after 11am firefighters responded to Fifth Third Ballpark in Comstock Park, just outside Grand Rapids.  Fifth Third Ballpark is home to the West Michigan Whitecaps.

Information is steadily flowing but the very latest is not good.  Reports are that the fire, which began in suites, has now caused the east side stands to cave in.

Firefighters have exited to begin fighting the fire from outside.

Billowing black smoke can be seen coming from the park, which sits right off of US 131.
