The band Boys Like Girls is such a big part of the 97.5 NOW FM story.  Both the radio station and the band were babies at the same time.  We took a chance on a band we believed in and our intuitions were correct; Boys Like Girls took the music scene by storm with their debut hit "The Great Escape."  It peaked at #8 in 2007 on the Billboard Pop Chart.

Their biggest song would be a duet with Taylor Swift called "Two Is Better Than One," which peaked at #7 in 2010, and the band would continue to knock out hits well into 2012.

For years, Boys Like Girls dominated playlists around the country, played hundreds of shows and made numerous visits to the Lansing area, including a particularly meaningful appearance at Pink Tie Affair in 2008, as lead singer, Martin Johnson's mother had previously passed away from cancer.

To celebrate the anniversary of the release of their self-titled debut, Boys Like Girls will play the entire album at six special dates this August.

The closest to Michigan will be Chicago on August 12th.

VIP tickets for all shows go on sale today at noon.  General admission tickets will go on sale Friday at noon.  Tickets will be available at www.boyslikegirls.com
