Michigan: Watch Out For This Massive Meat Recall

Whether you’re packing school lunches or planning a picnic, this news could affect your plans. Boar’s Head has pulled a variety of their ready-to-eat liverwurst and deli meats, which have been a staple in many households.
Major Meat Recall Hitting Michigan
A recall has been issued for certain Boar's Head ready-to-eat liverwurst and deli meat products. The liverwurst, produced from June 11, 2024, to July 17, 2024, with a 44-day shelf life, includes 3.5-lb loaves or various weights sold in retail delis.
These items, labeled "Boar’s Head Strassburger Brand Liverwurst MADE IN VIRGINIA," have sell-by dates between July 25, 2024, and August 30, 2024.
Other deli meats produced on June 27, 2024, are also affected by this recall. These include:
- 9.5-lb. and 4.5-lb. packages of "Boar’s Head VIRGINIA HAM OLD FASHIONED HAM" with an August 10, 2024, sell-by date.
- 4-lb. packages of "Boar’s Head ITALIAN CAPPY STYLE HAM" with an August 10, 2024, sell-by date.
- 6-lb. packages of "Boar’s Head EXTRA HOT ITALIAN CAPPY STYLE HAM" with an August 10, 2024, sell-by date.
- 4-lb. packages of "Boar’s Head BOLOGNA" with an August 10, 2024, sell-by date.
- 2.5-lb. packages of "Boar’s Head BEEF SALAMI" with an August 10, 2024, sell-by date.
- 5.5-lb. packages of "Boar’s Head STEAKHOUSE ROASTED BACON HEAT & EAT" with an August 15, 2024, sell-by date.
- 3-lb. packages of "Boar’s Head GARLIC BOLOGNA" with an August 10, 2024, sell-by date.
- 3-lb. packages of "Boar’s Head BEEF BOLOGNA" with an August 10, 2024, sell-by date.
