You will want to avoid US-127 in Lansing from Friday morning through Sunday. So if you usually travel on southbound 127, just let this be known that the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is closing a pretty big stretch of the road starting Friday morning. And by closing MDOT means it as they said "There will be a total closure of southbound US-127 between exit 78 (Grand River Ave/Saginaw Street) and the entry ramp from Kalamazoo Street to westbound I-496."

The stretch of Southbound 127 will be closed starting Friday at 10am (so you can use it for your morning commute) and will be closed until Sunday at 2pm. Also if you are wondering how am I going to get places near there, just know there will be a detour. The detour might be a little confusing but you can get off at the Grand River/Saginaw exit, then travel south on Howard street until you come to the Kalamazoo street entrance to 127 and boom!
