A very popular, ready-to-heat rice is being pulled from Michigan shelves due to a few batches of rice containing stones. Ben's Original has issued a voluntary recall on select "Ready Rice" varieties. At this time, the company and federal regulators are advising that consumers not eat this product.

No injuries or illnesses have been reported at this time, surrounding the product. The products tied to this recall were sold through major outlets here in Michigan, like Target and Amazon.

The product may have been extended to additional retailers via wholesalers.

Key Details on the Recall

The products are sold in shelf-stable pouches, and the recalled lots carry a best-by date of August 2026. If your pouch matches one of the listed batch codes, you should stop using the product immediately, and return it for a full refund, or simply get rid of the product.

You can also reach out to Ben's Original Consumer Care at 1-800-548-6253.
