TODAY reports that Bath and Body Works plans to shutter 50 stores nationwide.

The candle, body care, and fragrance store's parent company, L Brands, announced last week they'd be closing 250 Victoria's Secret Stores nationwide-- with more expected in the next few years.

Which Bath and Body Works stores will close hasn't been announced yet, but L Brands CEO Andrew Meslow said on a call with investors that primarily locations within malls would be affected.

Currently there are are Bath and Body Works stores in Rivertown Crossings Mall in Grandville and Woodland Mall in Kentwood (which recently announced it will reopen Monday, June 1.)

Bath and Body Works stores have been temporarily closed due COVID-19 since March 17 and have recently started to reopen across the country. TODAY reports that net sales for the retailer were down 37 percent in the first quarter compared to last year.
