Parents in Michigan, you're going to want to pay attention to this massive baby powder recall.

The company, Dynarex Cooperation, is expanding their baby powder recall, which includes national batches, after concerns of a possible lethal chemical found in the powder.

The recall first started back on September 19, 2024. Now, the recall is effecting 373 cases of their 14 oz. Dynacare Baby Powder. Dynacare Baby Powder (item #4875) and 647 cases of the 4 oz. version (item #4874).

This expansion is coming, due to potential asbestos contamination in the products, which is a serious issue, as asbestos is a known carcinogen.

Asbestos is often found near talc, a mineral used in baby powder and other cosmetics, but if talc isn’t thoroughly purified, it can still cause asbestos to come along with it.

The Dynacare Baby Powder products were distributed in multiple states across the U.S., including Alabama, California, Florida, Michigan, Texas, and more, and they were also sold online on Amazon.
