Have you been in a funk lately? Or maybe it's not just lately, but since the pandemic started. I'm here to tell you that you're not alone. This past year has been rough for all of us. My friends and I were talking about how we've been feeling off lately and came up with an idea to give us something to look forward to, a vision board. I know, it sounds silly. But it's times like these that we need a little extra help. According to Psychology Today, mental practices are the key to success and visualization tends to be the most effective.

Here's how to make a vision board..

Set Goals

First ask yourself what matters most to you. What does your ideal life look like? What kind of goals do you want to achieve in the next couple months? Then create a list of those goals. Do you want to make more money? Write that down. Or maybe you want to learn how to let go of things and not sweat the small stuff. I feel that one.

Grab Your Pictures/Art

This is the fun part! Your vision board is whatever you want it to be. Search through magazines or online for pictures or positive affirmations that reflect the goals you want to set. Once you found the stuff you want to use, grab your poster or cork board, cause it's time to collage!

Reflect Everyday

In order for your vision board to work, you have to put it somewhere you can see it everyday. Take a few moments when you wake up in the morning or before you go to bed to look over your board and remember the goals you set for yourself. If you like to meditate, I recommend going over your board before you jump into your meditation so it's the first thing on your mind. And remember, it's okay to change or add things to your board. Sometimes we think we want something and change our minds. There's nothing wrong with that!
