If you or someone you know got a new hanging basket or maybe some pretty flowers for Mother's Day, you'll want to bring them indoors or cover them up tonight. After seeing near record low temperatures on Friday night, the National Weather Service says that we're going to get another round of sub-freezing temperatures tonight.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures in the Lansing area are expected to drop to around 29 degrees overnight. The frost and freeze conditions have the potential to kill crops and other sensitive vegetation (like that new hanging basket) and the low temperatures could also possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing. The FREEZE WARNING is in effect from midnight to 9 am on Tuesday, May 12th. Click here to find out more. Some of the counties in the FREEZE WARNING include Allegan; Barry; Calhoun; Clinton; Eaton; Gratiot; Ingham; Ionia; Jackson; Kalamazoo; Kent; Montcalm; Muskegon; Ottawa; Van Buren.
