Amazon To Build Another Warehouse in Michigan

Michigan is making sure that Amazon doesn't leave the state as they have offered a few million dollars to the retail giant to build another warehouse. According to WILX, Michigan is giving Amazon $4 million to ensure it opens up another fulfillment center like the one that is in Metro-Detroit. This new warehouse however, will not be near Detroit but near Grand Rapids.

The Michigan Strategic Fund board approved the deal today and Amazon plans to create 1,000 full-time jobs. The fulfillment center will cost about $150 million and be in Gaines Township near Grand Rapids. This will now make the 4th Amazon warehouse in Michigan, so if you are looking to get a job with Amazon it will be a little easier with this new warehouse.
