A Popular Michigan Food Is Currently Being Recalled
The Pasty Oven, Inc. is recalling some of their popular brands of pastys, after a recall was issued over an undeclared item inside the pasty. The fully cooked ready-to-eat products will be stored in your freezer if you have the affected product.
The following items have been recalled, due to the potential contamination.
- Pasty WITH CHICKEN & CHEESE (8-oz. packages & 15-lb. cases)
- Pizza Pasty WITH PEPPERONI (8-oz. packages & 15-lb. cases)
Those pasties will have a best by date of December 11, 2025 or earlier.

The Reason for the Recall
The recall was introduced, after a misbranding and undeclared egg inside of the product.
The product was used and distributed to fundraiser groups, which does not include schools.

This can be dangerous for those who may have egg allergies. If you have any of the affected product, you are urged to throw it out, or return it to the place of purchase.
States like Wisconsin and Minnesota were also roped into this recall along with Michigan
