A Michigan Accent Makes “Sexiest Accent” Top 20

You may not notice but the Michigan accent is a sexy one and that's according to a new list, but its not the mitten accent its the Yooper accent. The new list according to bigseventravel.com, has the Yooper accent at #14. So the accent beat out some Cajun, Midwestern, Alabama, and so much more.

The list mentions how "‘Yoopernese’ is the dialect you’ll hear in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The accent is heavily influenced by the area’s Scandinavian immigrants, so they say ‘yah’ instead of yeah, “d” for “th” (“dere” for there, “dat” for “that”) and ‘eh’ at the end of most sentences."

The accents that topped the list are; #5 Chicago, #4 Mainer #3 New York #2 Bostonian #1 Texan.
