The Capital City Film Festival (CCFF) is going on its 9th straight year and this year they are bringing in more movies than ever. If you don't know the CCFF or have never been to it, it is a multimedia showcase of independent films and live touring bands which engage audiences all throughout Lansing. The CCFF is also celebrating cultures from around the world and showing off different films that explain more about the world.

The 9th annual Capital City Film Festival is happening April 11-21, 2019 in Lansing, Michigan. One the first day the CCFF kicks off with a party (5:15 p.m. April 11th at Impression 5), along with the first movie movie (“Guest Artist,” 7:15 and 9:15, Riverwalk Theatre). Plus there will be live music on the first day with Sen Morimoto, 9 p.m. at The Avenue.

There are going to be movies and films everyday of the festival at several Lansing and Old Town Lansing spots, so check out the schedule here. If you want to buy tickets for everything, they are $50, with most movies being between $5 - $10.

If you are looking for the live music part of the festival most of the venues will be the same as last year as; Loft, Avenue, Mac’s Bar will be holding most events. There will be 11 shows over the weekends of April 11-14 and 18-21. Plus there’s a partnership with Stoopfest, which has April 20 concerts all over the eastside of Lansing.
