Zayn Malik has confirmed he's finished his next record.

The singer made headlines on Tuesday after news surfaced that he'd split with longtime girlfriend Gigi Hadid, after which fans took notice of a photo he posted on Instagram that seemingly alluded to the breakup. "When life throws you lemons, catch em so they don’t hit you in the f---ing face," read the caption.

A follower then commented saying, "OR WHEN LIFE THROWS YOU LEMONS MAKE AN ALBUM BOO," to which Malik responded, "albums been done. Just working on my videos ladies calm it, calm it," confirming that an LP is officially in the pipeline.

The project marks Malik's second solo effort since parting with One Direction in 2015. He put out his debut album, Mind of Mine, in 2016, and has since unveiled a string of singles: Taylor Swift team-up "I Don't Want to Live Forever," for the 50 Shades Darker soundtrack, PartyNextDoor collab "Still Got Time," and the Sia-featuring "Dusk Till Dawn."

Malik has detailed a follow-up in the past, teasing new music as recently as February, but has yet to reveal firm details, like a release date or title. He told The Fader last September that he was hoping to have it out in the "next couple months," so it should be just around the corner.
