Get ready to plug your nose!

According to MLive, the Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids is expecting their corpse flower to bloom soon. They don't know exactly when the 18-year old flower will bloom but it could be today or as late as this weekend.  The bloom guess is based on people who know the flower well, but there are no guarentees that this weekend will be when it finally blooms.

But when the corpse flower, named Putricia by staff members, finally does blooms, it will emit a rotting flesh smell. Hence the name, corpse flower. One the flower blooms, if you want to smell it or see it you will have to get there soon, as it will only stay bloomed for a few days then its done. You can get more details here and check out the flower below before it blooms.
