It's not officially winter yet, that's next week, but this week we got a brutal cold and snow introduction to it. Now our area and most of Lower Michigan are under a winter weather advisory from now until 7 a.m. Sunday. If we haven't has enough cold and snow the last week or so this new weather system full of rain, sleet, and of course snow shuffles through our area.

According to the Lansing State Journal, we’re looking at a snowfall of 4 inches or so in the Lansing area.  We will see snow on Saturday, but it will be a little closer to above freezing this week so the system will be mixed with freezing rain.

Tonight’s commute will be the most impacted, then Saturday morning into Saturday.  If we do get freezing rain, PLEASE BE CAREFUL as per usual freezing rain is always a hazard on the roadways.
