The show that we have all been waiting for is finally starting at the Wharton Center this week. It's "Wicked" the wildly popular musical that has won tons of Tony Awards is starting its 24 show run at the Wharton Center this week running through to November 27th.

You may have seen the tons of big trucks and semis driving into East Lansing on Monday with huge sets, costumes, sound system and more. This also brings in tons of people, money and business to various shops and stores in the Lansing-East Lansing area which will also make a lot of small business happy.  Worldwide, “Wicked” which has grossed an astonishing $3.9 billion, has also been seen by nearly 48 million people. Also it’s the 10th longest running musical in the history of Broadway, according to the touring company’s website.

They kick off the shows this week and if you were lucky enough to be one of the 2,500 people to get a ticket to each show enjoy it cause its one of the best shows to come out of Broadway in the last decade. Here’s more from the Lansing State Journal.
