March 2013 - March 2014

I'll never forget that first sports bra selfie I took in the mirror in March of 2013. It felt silly, ridiculous and I almost deleted them because I didn't want someone to go through my phone and see I even had those photos of me at all.

But now I'm glad that I did! And I continue to take random sports bra selfies in the mirror weekly after my workouts and each time I take a selfie I feel a little bit better about myself! Why do I do it? Well it gives me something to compare all the hard work I've been doing to.

It's hard for me to see the progress I'm making because I look at myself in the mirror every single day. But when I put my photos next to each other it really puts everything into perspective for me. Especially this past two months...

There is no doubt in my mind over the past year I've come a long way, but I've been really trying to focus and tune in on my abs and get them to show... But yesterday after I left the gym I was feeling REALLY unmotivated because I felt like over the past few months I haven't seen any changes...so what did I do? I took a sports bra selfie... then I compared it to 2 months ago, and low and behold, even though I didn't feel like there was any difference, there WAS!

So... even if it feels silly taking hundreds of half naked selfies in your phone... I highly recommend it... it helps you to see the small changes and it also keeps me motivated to post and share my progress via social networks. I feel like if it's hard for me to hold myself accountable you guys help me do it! Thanks for continuing to be a part of my fitness journey!
