Leap Day is of course today and it only comes once every 4 years. But did you know it is a big day for marriage proposals and is traditionally the day that women may ask men to marry them.

This is from the Irish back in the 5th century when St. Brigid of Kildare complained to St. Patrick that women had to wait for men to propose. St. Patrick decreed the women could propose on this one day in February during the leap year and this eventually spread through Europe in the next few centuries.

So basically if you are waiting for your guy to ask you, today is the day to ask him, or you will have to wait for him to ask or wait 4 years till the next Leap Day.
