Of course Monday is Independence Day and its when you celebrate the USA independence with your friends and family. There are plenty of towns in the Lansing-Area that are holding celebrations.

  • First, The City of Lansing includes a parade stepping off at 11 a.m. on July 4 on Allegan Street and will march east to Capitol Avenue
  • The parade will be followed by clowns, antique and specialty automobiles, musicians, dance troops, community groups and military units at the Adado riverfront Park. Fireworks at dusk.
  • Fireworks will be set off from Cooley Law School Stadium following the Lugnuts game against the Dayton Dragons on July 4.
  • The annual Meridian Township Fourth of July fireworks will be held at Central Park South, 1990 Central Park Drive at 10 p.m. July 4.  Best viewing areas are located on the north side of the Meridian Mall and the Township Municipal Complex on Marsh Road.
