Where Is The Worst Air Quality In Michigan

I'm pretty sure you never thought of it but where is the worst air quality in Michigan?

If you immediately thought Detroit or Flint you are wrong and actually Flint has pretty good air quality as does Detroit. But according to MLive the worst air quality in the state is actually on the west coast and up north in the state.

According to MLive.com, studies show that frequently, the worst air quality is on the west coast, along the shore of Lake Michigan. That was the case yesterday, when there were Air Quality Alerts in some southwestern Michigan counties. Yesterday, the worst area was from Holland north to Ludington. Today, looks like the worst air will be in Muskegon.. One of the reasons this happens? Pollutants blowing across the lake from Chicago and Milwaukee, but don't worry these conditions don't last long.
