Watch The Sky Light Up With Any Of These Mid-Michigan Fireworks Displays
This Fourth of July weekend, you'll have your pick of the litter when it comes to fireworks displays. There are so many to chose from, it's mind blowing! But, if you're finding it hard to decide which display to go and see, do not fret. WLNS has come to the rescue and put together a list of different displays throughout Mid-Michigan. Check out some the suggestions down below!

Lansing
July Fourth celebrations kick off Saturday morning with a parade through Downtown Lansing (be aware that the City will be closing down parts of Capitol Ave, Ottawa, and Allegan for the parade route). Festivities continue at 8 o'clock with the Lansing Concert Band. They will play right up until the fireworks show begins! The display boasts over 1,500 fireworks... you may want to bring earplugs!

Mason
This annual fireworks display will be taking place at the Ingham County Fairgrounds and the fireworks will kick off starting at dusk. The sun sets at 9:19 PM today, so sparks could be filling the sky as early as 9:20 PM... I would say to get there a bit earlier!

Meridian Township
If you're going to be near Okemos, these are the fireworks to see! The display starts at 10:15 PM at Central Park South, in Okemos (it's kinda behind the Meridian Mall). It's said that the best place to park is on the North side of the Meridian Mall and the best spot to watch is at the soccer field.

Portland
Portland is definitely going strong this weekend with an awesome fireworks display! It all kicks off on Friday at the Portland Middle School. The parade starts there at 8 PM, leading to the Portland High School where the fireworks will start at dusk.

Fowlerville
The Fowlerville fireworks display is one of the higher rates displays listed. Before they kick off the fireworks at 10 PM, they've got a parade at 7PM and tons of entertainment from 8 to 10 PM. This event does ask for a $5 donations per vehicle. To see what other events are going on that are open to the public, click HERE to get more info.
