Lansing voters may be able to decide the fate of the Lansing City Market. According to WLNS, the Mayor as well as the city are planning on selling the land to a private investor to continue the riverfront property rise. But with the option of selling the land the city council might let the voters of Lansing to decide.

To get on the ballot the Lansing Planning and Parks boards must approve the plan and give it to the City Council. After that the council must pass the proposal before August 13th then place the measure on the November ballot. Not sure if this question will make the ballot but it is an option for the city as well as the voters.
