A developer is in talks with East Lansing to build not one but two large high rises near Grand River Ave. According to the Lansing State Journal, an Okemos-based company and Royal Properties of Champaign, Illinois, put in plans to East Lansing to build 2 14-story buildings right off of the Michigan State campus. They submitted plans for the buildings to be built on or near the corner of Abbot Road and Albert Avenue.

The developers are looking to build the 14-story building at the corner of Abbot Road and Albert Avenue, which is the site of Dublin Square. According to LSJ, the developer and the owner of Dublin Square will work together to build Dublin Square into the new building when finished.

The project is expected to cost over 150 million dollars, and it hasn't been finalized yet. The developers expect the buildings to have 80 condominiums, 450 parking spaces, 410 market-rate apartments, a movie theater, lots of office space and more retail space.

If you know that corner you will know that construction is pretty heavy in East Lansing now and if these plans are put into action it could be crazier there. More on the story here.
