Obviously you are going to enjoy your long Labor Day Weekend, but there are also tons of events, festivals, and sports happening all around Lansing.

First its Michigan Chicken Wing Festival you can check out who in Lansing has the best wings, plus there will also be musical acts all weekend, and tons of family events. It runs Sept 1st - 3rd at Adado Riverfront Park. Doors are open at Noon on Friday and Saturday and 2pm on Sunday.

In very big news though.....Michigan State Spartans Football is back! They kick off the season against  Bowling Green at Spartan Stadium at Noon. 

Also Friday on the campus of MSU at the College of Music at Cook Recital Hall (333 W. Circle Dr. Michigan State) U College of Music presents: Jan Eberle & Ralph Votapek

Also at the Broad Art Museum on Saturday its Family Day: Invention, you can explore the many ways art can reflect the world around it! Family Day is always FREE and open the public, it runs from 11am - 3pm

And for the kids and on campus at the Abrams Planetarium (755 Science Rd. Michigan State University East Lansing, MI) its the Spartan Young Astronomers Club. It runs monthly at the Planetarium so if you miss it this month you can catch it next month.

Finally, one of the more interesting events happening this weekend is the Lamafest showcase, Llama and alpaca shows, costume contest and a variety of fiber-producing animals for sale. Its on Saturday and Sunday from 9am - 3pm, more here.
