This is our headquarters for resources and events during Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October).

EVENTS
OCTOBER 2014
7th: It's a Breast Thing
Come and join us for a night of fun & education all to support our local breast cancer patients with out of pocket expenses during treatment, 5-8pm at Eagle Eye Golf Course in Bath.

8th: Bubba O'Malley's Breast Cancer Patient Navigation Fundraising Event
6th Annual event raising money for Breast Cancer Navigation Fund; a free service to assist breast cancer patients through the often-lengthy process of testing, treatment and recovery. It also helps with associated costs. Admission is $10 and includes a pizza buffet. 4-8pm at Bubba O'Malley's on Belsay Road in Burton. More info.

12th: Pink In The Rink
The Division 2 Michigan State University women's ice hockey team is participating in a 'Pink in the Rink' game to help raise awareness for breast cancer research. To raise money, they will be selling t-shirts at the game with a percent of the profit going to breast cancer research, and accepting any and all donations.

The hockey game will be taking place this Sunday October 12th at 11am in Munn Ice Arena on campus.

14th: Pink Dessert Wars
Bakeries, caterers, pastry shops and restaurants compete for awards. Come to the University Club at MSU, 6-9pm, and sample desserts and decide who gets the People's Choice Award. $10 and $2 goes to Susan G. Komen Mid-Michigan.

18th: Second Annual Save Second Base Breast Cancer Softball Tournament
Proceeds from this year's tourney will go to Crystal Hittle who was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer this year. "We feel that donating it to a local resident in need would be a great way to show support," organizer Tammy Patrick said. It will be $200.00 per team, and rules by ASA, and will include food, silent auction, and many things for sale. Tourney to be held at Mitchell Softball Fields in Corunna at 8am. 18th: Making Strides of Flint
Registration starts at 8:30am and the 2014 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Flint starts at 10am. Location: DDA Flat Lot, 125 E Kearsley Street in Flint.

18th: Making Strides of Lansing
Registration starts at 9:30am and the 2014 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Lansing starts at 11am. Location: Michigan State Capitol, 100 N Capitol Avenue in Lansing.

18th: Regis Salons Fundraiser
More than 7,000 participating Regis corporate salons are donating 10% of proceeds to the Regis Foundation for Breast Cancer Research, which supports early diagnosis, prevention, treatment and research to find a cure for breast cancer.
