If you've been watching the 5-part Netflix documentary, "Conversations with A Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes", you've seen that one of his victims was from Michigan. Most of Ted Bundy's victims were young women living in the northwest U.S. and later, Florida. Sadly, one of his victims was Caryn Campbell, 23, a nurse from Michigan.

On January 12, 1975, Caryn was visiting a ski resort near Aspen, Colorado with her fiance - a Farmington Hills doctor, when she decided to go back to her room to get a magazine. According to VailDaily, her fiance saw her get into the elevator and her friends saw her get off the elevator. Somewhere in the hall, between the elevator and her room, she disappeared. A month later, her body was found, by the side of a road outside town.

It took another 14 years, but on January 24, 1989, Ted Bundy was executed. According to the Detroit Free Press, they talked to Caryn's father, Robert Cambell, the day before he was executed. Mr. Campbell told them, "I'm not a vindictive person, but certainly you can't go around killing people. … I suppose I approve of his execution — reluctantly, but I don't think executing Bundy will be a deterrent. People will keep killing."

It's an interesting show. Some of the crime scene photos are brutal, but they drive home the point that although Bundy looked and acted like a smart, friendly law student, he was truly a monster. And, unfortunately, it will cause a lot of people  - especially young women - to think twice about helping somebody in a cast or on crutches next time.
