STOP THE MADNESS.

Please stop sharing that misleading article about Red Lobster closing.

“Never have we said we would be closing restaurants."  That's a quote from Rich Jeffers, Director of Media Relations for Darden Restaurants, Inc., the parent company of the seafood joint famous, in part, for its Cheddar Bay Biscuits.

The fact is, the company announced on December 19th that it plans to sell the Red Lobster branded restaurants, and that sale would not happen until July at the earliest.

Maybe a new company will decide to buy and completely re-brand, but, I'm thinking that's not what will happen.  I'm also thinking (optimistically) that Darden will include contractual requirements for keeping the brand for X amount of time after the sale.

Regardless -- fear not -- you've got at least six months to getcha' biscuits.  Or, Lobster Pizza.

Last time we went there I tried something new -- I don't remember exactly what it was, but it turned out to be SUCH a good decision.  It was something with shrimp.  (I know, that narrows it down.)

I want Cheddar Bay Biscuits right now.
