There is going to be another way to beat the heat this summer, as there are plans to build a splash pad in Jackson.

The first phase of the project is almost done and they are looking for more funding to finalize the project. But if they get the funding which they are close to getting, everything could be in place by mid-May. The plan is to open the splash pad the week of June 15th. To read more about the project you can here.

Plans are for the cost to enter to be $2 or $20 for a season pass. The planned hours of operation are noon to 6 p.m. Sunday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. all other days. Some of the features of the splash pad include LED lights, a large water-dumping bucket and other water-spraying toys.
