Spartan Stadium is still going to look the same but this coming season it will be much brighter for games.

Just this week, crews are finishing putting up two new lighting towers on the northeast and southeast corners of the stadium. These new towers will be synced up with lights in that area of the stadium. Temporary lights were previously used for afternoon/night games so putting in these towers saves from having to put up costly temporary lights.

Along with lights, there is going to be an addition to the southern section of Spartan Stadium, it will be adding nearly 20,000 square feet of space which will include bathrooms and concession stands. The southern gates are also being worked on and both should be done by the months end in time for the regular season.

In addition to Spartan Stadium getting an upgrade, so is the Breslin Student Events Center, which is in the middle of a project that includes the addition of the Tom Izzo Basketball Hall of History. More on all of the renovations and upgrades here.
