Before you go off to make some Spam or other Hormel product be alerted that some of it has been recalled due to metal....yes there could be metal in it.

According to MLive, Hormel, the maker of the legendary food Spam, is recalling hundreds of thousands of pounds of the product along with their "Hormel Foods Black-Label Luncheon Loaf” due to reported metal pieces found in the products.

The recall mainly affects 12-oz. "SPAM Classic", the best date is February 2021 and codes F020881, F020882, F020883, F020884, F020885, F020886, F020887, F020888 and F020889; and 12-oz. There is a recall on "Hormel Foods Black-Label Luncheon Loaf" with a best by date of February 2021, and codes F02098 and F02108. This product was shipped out of the U.S but still be aware of this recall.
