East Lansing is bracing for a Master Class dancing star; Markus Shields appeared on Fox's So You Think You Can Dancein Seasons 4 and 10, earning praise from producer, Nigel Lythgoe, as he landed one of the 26 finalist spots in Season 10's Vegas Week.

The West Michigan native developed his versatile and hard-hitting hip-hop style through instruction of the urban students in his hometown and studied ballet and jazz at Grand Rapids Community College.

Markus will teach two classes on Saturday, July 26th, at Kick It Out! Dance Studio in East Lansing at 1880 Haslett Road.

The first class is for kids ages 7 to 12.  The "Beginner Hip-Hop" course runs $30 per student and will run from 1 to 2pm.

The second available class is for anyone 13 years or older.  The "Advanced Hip-Hop" master class is also $30 per student and will run from 2:15pm to 3:15pm.
