Shiawassee County Chamber Suggests Renting Your House or a Room to Owosso Train Expo Guests

It's shaping up to be a pretty awesome event; the Owosso Train Expo will bring thousands to Shiawassee County this June for mainline passenger steam train excursions, historic train displays and demonstrations, model trains, classic cars,  vintage aircraft, a midway and more!  It's called "Train Expo" but it's a lot more than that, and despite this being the first year, the excitement is so great that the Shiawassee Regional Chamber of Commerce is suggesting that area residents offer their homes or rooms up to visitors -- for a price -- since all the area hotels are already sold out!

Owosso is home to the Pere Marquette 1225, the locomotive that inspired and is featured in the animated movie starring Tom Hanks, Polar Express.
