Scam Alert: Consumer Energy Phone Calls

There is another new phone scam going around this time it has to do with Consumer Energy and of course wanting your money.

The phone scam has been going around in the Mid-Michigan area. The caller then demands money to bring the account up to date.

The Facebook post is above from the Blackman Leoni Township Department of Public Safety which posted about the scam. Just know Consumers Energy won't ask for money from their customers over the phone, and people should contact their local police department if they suspect they have received a call from someone who is not legitimate.
