Rihanna won't be making an appearance on the 2016 Grammy stage, after all. The 27-year old singer was a last minute cancellation at the 58th annual Grammy Awards. According to TMZ, the pop star canceled her Monday night appearance due to bronchitis. She unexpectedly pulled the plug after the live telecast began.

With her newly-released album Anti  earning raves after two weeks, the star was slated to perform “Kiss It Better” near the hour mark of the show, with James Cordon introducing her. But, during what would've been Rih-Rih's undoubtedly show-stopping performance, CBS’ cut to the Best Country album award with LL Cool J and Corden.

Rihanna's reps haven't issued an official statement regarding her health or the cancellation.

The singer's appearance was one of the more anticipated of the evening, with fellow stars Adele, The Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar also taking the stage for music's biggest night amidst high anticipation for what looks to be a too-hard-to-call race for Album of the Year, with Taylor Swift's 1989, Lamar's To Pimp A Butterfly and The Weeknd's Beauty Behind the Madness considered front-runners for the honor.
