If you have heard or have been to the popular Cops & Doughnuts bakery in Claire, Michigan, you will be happy to know they are coming to mid-Michigan.

The bakery has announced plans to open a location in the Lansing area later this year. According to the Lansing State Journal, the Delta Township location will be the bakery's seventh location, and first franchise. Retired Lansing Police Department detective Michelle Bryant and her business partner Heidi Williams, technology and information supervisor for the East Lansing Police Department will head this franchise.

The new Cops & Doughnuts Capital Precinct will be located at what used to be Coffee Jam, which is just off Creyts Road on Centurion Drive. (At 6427 Centurion Drive near Creyts and 496.) They hope to open in the spring or early summer.
