Owosso Man Wins $1 Million Lottery Prize

Gary Shepherd of Owosso was vacationing in the Sunshine State, where he picked up a Powerball ticket and plugged in numbers, including one that represents his birth date.

His number: 11-19-24-33-51 Megaball: 12

Winning number: 11-19-24-33-51 Megaball: 7

Shepherd said he always uses the same five numbers, as well as the numbers 12 and 7 interchangebly when he plays, because they are both numbers of his birth date.  If he had used 7, he would have been splitting the $414 million prize with winners in Florida and Maryland.  Still, a mill’ ain’t bad.
