It's been almost 40 years since a man believed to be connected to a hotel fire that killed two people in Oregon vanished after being questioned about the incident.  It's like he never existed -- even his social security number is mysteriously gone, a Salem, Oregon Police Investigator told the Associated Press.  The only thing police in Oregon have to go on is a name -- Thomas Hanson -- a photo and a statement that he gave, indicating that he was 29 years old and that he was from Alma Michigan.

Now, police are hoping somebody here recognizes him.

The Bligh Hotel fire in 1975 killed Arnold Stover and August Cico who were both 49 years old at the time.  If Hanson was 29 years old at that time, he would now be 69 years old.
