Early Wednesday morning Michigan State Police pulled a driver over along North State Road, north of Corunna, whom they suspected of driving while intoxicated.  While authorities may not have been surprised to find alcohol in the vehicle, what they found instead was a bit shocking.  "It's almost like a 'Fifty Shades of Grey' novel," the Argus-Press reports Michigan State Police Lt. Dave Kaiser as saying.

A 41 year old Chesaning man posted a Craigslist ad for a sexual encounter.  Kaiser says the man was looking for a sexual submissive and "the key words were that he was not interested in taking control away but was interested in someone giving him control."

When a 22 year old Okemos woman met the man after responding to the ad, she quickly realized that he was not who he had purported to be in their online exchanges.  When she tried to end the date, he allegedly zip-tied her hands behind her back, put tape over her eyes and a bag over her head.  He then put her in his car.

The man, whose name authorities have not yet released, is being held in the Shiawassee County Jail on suspicion of kidnapping and assault by strangulation.
