Okemos Is Among Top Ten Schools In State According to Study

U.S. News & World Report breaks down America's best schools, and even further, by state, and the latest study says Okemos High School is #10 in the State of Michigan.

The study's criteria evaluates state exam stats, performance of disadvantaged students relative to other disadvantaged students in the state and enrollment in advanced classes.

Also ranked inside the top 75 Michigan schools in mid-Michigan, Pewamo-Westphalia (13), Chelsea (18), East Lansing (24), Dexter (27), Haslett (38) and Ithaca (68).

City Middle/High School in Grand Rapids was the top ranked school in Michigan and the top ranked school on U.S. News & World Report's national list as well, at #83.

The #1 school in the nation, according to the study, is in Dallas Texas; School for the Talented and Gifted.
