No More Daylight Savings In Michigan?
That's a new bill that is about to go through the House here in Michigan, which would get rid of Daylight Savings and put the whole state in the Eastern Time Zone.
In the ole' days, Daylight Saving Time was to benefit farmers. Now, according to studies on things like energy savings, school performance, and job-related injuries just don't back up the need for it.
Some Michigan Legislators want either to Spring forward or Fall back and never do it again. While other legislators are saying how the bill would affect some counties that are near or currently in the central time zone, like counties in the U.P.
I'm a fan of no more Daylight Savings time as it is a huge inconvenience and also some other states are trying to get off of Daylight Savings time as well as Michigan. To read more about it MLive has the full story.
