The roads will be a little different soon in downtown Jackson as one-way streets will go to two-way streets. This is something city officials have been planning for since 2002 and it is to convert the downtown Jackson loop to two-way traffic.

According to MLive from MDOT, the change is now scheduled tentatively to occur during the day on Monday, Jan. 29th.

The change will happen on Washington Avenue and Louis Glick Highway between S. Cooper Street and Steward Avenue. Some of the new changes to come to these roads will be new traffic lights and different intersections as well as newly created streets.
