Dan and Kyle Malone, a father and son duo, plan to open Ozone’s Brewhouse this spring in a warehouse at 305 Beaver St.

The Ozone plans to open in May and it will make 10 microbreweries in Lansing. Microbreweries are getting big among other Michigan cities like Grand Rapids so the Malones figured it was time to expand it in Lansing.

The Malones have been brewing beers for over 20 years, with Dan starting as a hobby 20 years ago and his son Kyle who went to MSU before dropping out and going to school to learn to brew.

The brewery’s location, a block north of Old Town's shopping district, which will hopefully help draw more traffic to the area,

Since the Ozone will just serve beer and snacks when it opens, the Malones will be partnering with Old Town restaurants to deliver food.

Ozone’s will occupy roughly 2,500 square feet of space in the warehouse on the corner of Beaver and Turner streets. It will include the bar from the former Mustang Bar on Turner Street.
